At Photon, you’ll work with systematic traders and market makers to develop and execute automated trading strategies. You’ll analyse market behaviour, build mathematical models, and learn to identify profitable opportunities. You don’t need a background in trading—just a curious mind and a drive to learn.
Many of our successful traders have backgrounds in STEM. However, we believe in creating diverse, well-rounded teams and welcome all candidates with the right skills.
A solid grasp of probability and mathematical concepts.
Strong numerical reasoning and mental arithmetic.
Experience managing large datasets with machine learning and critical thinking techniques, along with familiarity with tools like C++, Python R.
Programming experience is preferred or a proven interest in learning since our traders work with Python to build tools that support our trading strategies.
You enjoy the process of untangling complexity and learning new concepts to understand how things work.
You’re able to use available information to make quick, intelligent decisions in real time.
You believe in the power of collaboration and are capable of communicating your ideas while listening to those of others.
You exhibit initiative, perseverance, and a competitive drive, aiming to outperform the market together.
